Water easily finds its way to go out, that is why tanks tend to leak.
In public aquarium, you have two different ways to proceed when it happens :
– In dry condition : you remove first living things and then water for maintenance.
– In wet condition : divers can fix the leak with minimum disturbance.
In general, the approach chosen depends on the volume of the tank.
– When it concerns a small capacity tank, it is less complex and more economic to empty it to carry out the maintenance
– On the contrary, when it is a large volume tank, it is better to keep it filled and work underwater because it is less complex and more economic.
